As part of the KA2 project Urban Regeneration, on 24 August we continued our joint process of revitalising the small park in Kumanovo — a space that is gradually becoming a welcoming urban retreat for the local community.
This work action focused on cleaning, organising, and refreshing the park to create a more pleasant, tidy, and visually appealing environment. With brooms, shovels, and garbage bags in hand, volunteers and team members cleaned the entire area from litter and fallen branches. This effort brought new clarity and openness to the park, restoring its brightness and making it more inviting for residents and visitors.
A special emphasis was placed on the concrete walls and benches, which received a completely new look thanks to the creativity and dedication of our local artists. Through simple yet striking graffiti and playful colours, the park was transformed into a space where art and nature coexist harmoniously, giving it personality and a unique character. Alongside this artistic work, the craftsmen on site handled the technical improvements — spreading sand and organising the remaining materials needed for further enhancement of the surrounding pathways and infrastructure.
This activity demonstrated once again how teamwork, volunteer spirit, and community care can reshape public spaces into places that unite and inspire. With each new step, the park becomes not only cleaner and more beautiful, but also a gathering point where people feel connected, responsible, and engaged in the wellbeing of their shared environment.
With this sixth meeting, we moved one step closer to our vision: transforming the park in Kumanovo into a vibrant, creative, and sustainable space that brings people — and ideas — together.
