On 1 June 2025, the team held the third local meeting with young volunteers and representatives from local organisations, focusing on two key areas: an introduction to the Erasmus+ programme and exploring eco-friendly approaches for the future revitalisation of the park in Kumanovo. The aim of this session was to inform and motivate young people to engage actively in democratic life through Erasmus+ opportunities, with emphasis on inclusion, digital transformation, volunteering, and youth participation. Special attention was given to youth exchanges, training courses for youth workers, and the possibilities for developing local initiatives through the programme.
Participants were also introduced to practical ecological solutions for transforming neglected green areas, using permaculture principles, vertical gardening, and medicinal plants. The group discussed potential collaborations with schools and NGOs to support the creation of sustainable and inspiring public spaces.
The meeting concluded with a series of ideas for developing joint initiatives that combine both aspects — meaningful youth engagement and environmentally driven urban transformation — laying the foundation for future activities within the Urban Regeneration project.
